I enjoyed Celina Grace's Valentine, which is a Kate Redman Mystery Novella.I especially enjoy this book, because it's an easy and fast read. It took about 2 hours from beginning to end. One reason I liked the book, is it's not got tons of description of what people wear, or drive, or eat or drink, on every other page.. Ms Grace just jumps in and tells an interesting story. She's given the story some twists and turns that leave you guessing until the very end.
This is a story about a female police officer in London, by the name of Kate Redman. Kate is given what seems like an unimportant mystery to solve. Three women have received a pigs heart with an arrow through it. Her fellow officers think it's just a prank. But as Kate does her research, she discovers that a poor guy who signed up on a dating website, using someone else's photo, had sent the three women the pigs hearts, because when the women went to meet him, they'd discovered they'd been duped and left without meeting him.
Then Kate discovers that the younger of the three women is lying about her cat being killed, about a death threat she says she got. Iit takes Kate a while to discover why. But being a woman (and a good officer), she leaves no stone unturned and at the last minute figures out that the girl who insists she's been raped, is trying to frame a guy she had a short affair with.
Read the story and discover for yourself why KiKi Dee is lying, and what a great writer Celina Grace is. She keeps you interested from the beginning to the end.

This book was not a good read. The ending was weird and not like the others. I have another Kate Redman book to read and I hop it isbetter
This is a rather short but involved tale about three different cases. There is some connection among the cases but each requires there own solution
Loved this. What I enjoyed about the plot is that Celina Grace gives you the clues with enough time lead time that, if you're observant, you can figure out who is the culprit. All her characters are so multi-dimensional that I feel I know them. As always, Grace does not overwrite her book, rather her choice of words carries her full story.
I'm not good at writing reviews but I have to say that I love Kate. She seems like a person that you would really know. This is a short mystery for Valentine's Day and if you liked the previous books, then you will like this one too. I received a free copy from the author but I also ordered a copy. Highly recommend. Enjoy!
This book really had me guessing as to the motive and who it was behind the really not so delightful valentine gifts, there were some good red herrings and the story had a great pace. I did feel it was a smidge rushed towards the end, however still a fantastic read and provided more insight around what was happening with Kate and Tin.
Even though I got an advanced copy of this I still purchased my own copy as I really enjoyed the read.
I've read all the Kate Redman books and none have disappointed. The characters of her co workers, her scattered family and the continuing attraction for her boss never fail to hold my interest Each of the stories is another exciting episode of her life with her continually developing co workers. I could not stop until I'd read all 11, plus some other Celina Grace books that did not involve Kate Redman.
I have read all of the Kate Redman books and really enjoy them. The plot of Valentine was interesting, but some things felt rushed and off kilter. Also, there were many spelling errors, as if this book hadn't been thoroughly edited and instead just rushed to print. One of the suspect's last name was Neely and it went back and forth between being spelled correctly and then as 'Needly' several times. This is just sloppy and not worthy of a finished Celina Grace product.
